What is the black masterbatch for

Black mother is a color masterbatch, but its status and other color masterbatch is a little different.  Black master is commonly used in plastic processing of a color master batch, but also a large amount of a color master batch.  Black master is a plastic colorant made of a high proportion of pigment or additive and thermoplastic resin through good dispersion. The selected resin has good wetting and dispersion effect on the colorant, and has good compatibility with the coloring material, namely: pigment + carrier + additive = color master batch.  

Use of black masterbatch:  

Black mother is widely used in plastic processing industries, such as injection molding, extrusion molding and blow molding.  In real life, it is widely used in the injection molding of automobile plastic parts, extrusion molding of plastic pipes, agricultural plastic film and the production of geotechnical materials.  

Production process of black masterbatch:  

(1) Ink method: as the name suggests, is in the production of masterbatch ink paste production method, that is, through three roller grinding, coated with a layer of low molecular protective layer on the surface of the pigment.  After grinding the fine paste is mixed with the carrier resin, then plasticized by a two-roll plasticizer (also called a two-roll open mixer), and then granulated by a single screw or twin screw extruder.  

(2) washing method: the pigment, water and dispersant through the sand grinding, so that the pigment particles are less than 1μm, and through the phase transfer method, the pigment into the oil phase, and then dry to obtain the color master batch.  The phase conversion requires the use of organic solvents, and the corresponding solvent recovery device.  

(3) kneading: it is to mix the pigment and the oil carrier, and make use of the characteristics of the pigment, the pigment is rinsed from the water phase into the oil phase by kneading.  At the same time, the oil carrier will cover the surface of the pigment, so that the pigment dispersion and stability, prevent pigment condensation.
